Dr. Marie-Hélène Brouillette

Dr. Marie-Hélène Brouillette, general practitioner, started her career in emergency medicine and on an air ambulance eight years ago. Working in remote regions, where there are no plastic surgeons, she developed an expertise in repairing complex wounds. This was her break from the frenzy of the emergency department. She later refocused her career on women's health and sports medicine, in the hope of having more time to indulge her passion for esthetic medicine. A field of medicine requiring precision and dexterity as well as an artistic vision was her idea of the greatest combination ever. Promoting physical activity and wellness of the mind and body are the values that drive her. Constantly searching for excellence and new trends, she regularly participates in cutting-edge trainings and attends international conferences to offer her patients safe, high-quality esthetic treatments. She embraces the European approach to esthetic medicine for its more natural results. She is known for her exceptional listening skills, her kindness and her seamless results.

Technological Advances for Reducing Hyperpigmentation and Melasma

Sunday 9:30 a.m. Room 519-A

Ways of reducing hyperpigmentation are multiplying. In addition to peelings using products or devices, we all know about the usefulness of IPL or other lasers. Melasma, however, doesn't respond well to IPL, which could even exacerbate the problem or have undesirable effects. Over the last few years, studies have helped to evaluate the efficacy of fractional radiofrequency, fractional non-ablative lasers, and Q-Switched lasers to reduce hyperpigmentation and more specifically melasma, which needs to be treated with more subtlety. Join us to learn about these various methods and how to manage melasma with the appropriate technologies.

Mesotherapy Practice and Sterile Environments

Sunday 10:30 a.m. Room 519-B

Do you know the difference between mesotherapy and microneedling? Because there is one! But what's more important is understanding the principle behind both those methods: inducing a wound to generate healing in the skin. The main problem is that healing is virtually never taught, or else it's misunderstood, but it's the basis for the creation of this treatment being used in Europe for over 50 years.

Come learn with us all the mysteries of skin healing, possible complications (pathological scarring), limitations, results and, above all, problems that can occur if these methods aren't applied appropriately and if the environment isn't properly sterile! Your treatment room should look more like an operating theatre than a relaxation den.
Popular Misconceptions About Stretch Marks

Monday 10:30 a.m. Room 519-B

Stretch marks have been around for as long as women have been having children, but would you believe me if I told you that the real reason for stretch marks isn't the actual stretching of the skin until it rips? Did you there is a hormone in the female body that is secreted when we are overly stressed (it was even nicknamed the stress hormone in women), and which provokes stretch marks?

In the world of esthetics, stretch marks are the subject of numerous misconceptions, and when we don't really understand why a body produces them (reaction mechanism), we can't imagine products that would have a real impact on them. Join us to demystify stretch marks and the products available on the market that are supposed to improve them. Prepare to be surprised!

You would like people who pass by your facilities find out more about them, more easily, thanks to the new technologies, but without breaking the bank? It's all possible (and often for free)! Whatever their size or their mission, companies must inevitably choose distribution and promotion channels. The Web and social media offer a good way to advertise and sell your products and services.
